Open since 1898
The Old Inn Tavern has stood at 502 3rd Street in Snohomish since 1898, built at the end of the Union Pacific Railroad line as a place for railroad workers to unwind. It is reported to be the third oldest bar in the State of Washington.
You know it by the bright red building, the glowing neon TAVERN sign, and the hand-painted mural of the Old Inn Tavern and a cow on the side wall. Inside, the room is built around a large 27-person rectangular bar with lacquered split-log surfaces, with pool tables, ping pong, and darts down the lower level.
More than 125 years on, it is still the neighborhood bar where everybody — including their well-trained pets — is welcome. Dogs roam freely, a fire pit burns out back, and the regulars have been coming for years.
